I also like the idea of him being a mentor, maybe even taking it seriously, while also working to destroy his mentee(s). It might be interesting to see how he compartmentalizes things -- or not. I also really enjoy Jedi bashing but you don't need to touch it if it isn't your thing haha
I would also like to avoid a ton of Palpatine bashing. I'm more interested in a complex approach to his character than a work that wants to condemn him.
